![]() ![]() The K-Briq and K-Slip are available in a range of thirteen stock colours, all made from recycled pigments. ![]() The K-Slip, whilst suitable now within interiors, will be certified for external use by late 2023/early 2024. Its Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certificate and Design Guide will also be available in early 2023, the latter specifying both traditional and lime mortars. The K-Briq is in its final stages of BBA certification in the UK allowing its commercial use from Spring 2023. The K-BRIQ® has <5% the carbon footprint of a traditional clay brick and is made from 95% inert recycled content, over 90% of which comes from recycled construction and demolition waste. Kenoteq’s low-carbon production process does not require high temperature firing, virgin cement or high volumes of clay for its production. ![]() The K-SLIP™ is made from the same materials and offers a brickslip and tile alternative for sustainable interiors and, also for the off-site sector which favours brickslip facades which can be efficiently installed in factory conditions. It has comparable strength to traditional bricks and blocks and high thermal mass, and a competitive technical specification. It is suitable for applications currently met by traditional bricks and blocks in exterior and interior environments. The K-BRIQ® is a resource-efficient construction brick made from inert recycled input materials. Therefore, leading contractors and housebuilders are having to look abroad to secure brick supplies.įurthermore, the recent energy price rises and energy availability will have on-going impact to the traditional brick manufacturers who rely on energy-intensive excavation of resources and hugely energy intensive firing of clay and concrete bricks. More recent events have seen further restrictions in materials supply, availability and lead times. Over 500 million of these were imported due to a shortage in domestic supply and a huge 85% of bricks used in Scottish new builds were imported to Scotland in 2018 because of localised supply constraints. The UK is the largest single brick market in Europe, with over 2.6 billion bricks used in 2019 in the UK. And the UK will be following suit through The Environment Act 2021 transferring into legislation and regulation. EU Legislation already requires 70% of all construction and demolition waste to be recycled, with 0% going to landfill. Kenoteq targets the critical issues of legislation-led waste reduction, the shortage in supply of construction materials, and energy efficiency.Ĭonstruction, demolition and excavation were responsible for 62% of the UK’s total waste in 2018, according to DEFRA, with vast quantities of recycled material needing new avenues. Kenoteq is responding to critical challenges in the construction industry in the UK, and across much of Europe. ![]() ![]() ![]() The tenant or tenants who were the beneficiaries of the contract or recorded agreement shall be given at least 90 days’ written notice of the effective date of the termination and shall not be obligated to pay more than the tenant’s portion of the rent, as calculated under the contract or recorded agreement to be terminated, for 90 days following receipt of the notice of termination of nonrenewal of the contract. As long as there is clause in the agreement, which can be cited, this notice can be used to give the tenant notice of the breach in contract and how the tenant needs to cure the breach. This notice can also be used for a non-paid security deposit, an unauthorized pet, or a utility payment that is due. This California Eviction Notice can be used to ask for late fees as long as there is a clause in the written agreement, which can be sited. 3-Day Notice to Perform CovenantĪ 3-Day Notice to Perform Covenant is used to give tenant who is on a written rental agreement notice that they have breached their contract in some manner and that breach needs to be cured. If preparation or service of the Notice / Eviction Form is done incorrectly or not at all and the tenant raises it as a defense, the Court will dismiss the Landlord’s complaint due to a procedural defect and the tenant will prevail at Court. Why Do You Need a California Eviction Notice?Ĭalifornia Eviction Notices and Forms are critical in the eviction process because Eviction Laws in California requires all persons residing in the property in question to be served with a proper Notice of Eviction. This 3-Day Eviction Notice is usually served on a tenant after the rent has become late according to the rental agreement usually rent is due on the first and late on the fifth so the notice could be served on the sixth. If the tenant chooses to vacate the property within the three days, the owner can still file a small claims complaint against the tenant for the unpaid rent. If the tenant does not comply with the notice, an Unlawful Detainer action will have to be filed so that the owner may regain possession of the property. Basically, there are four types of eviction notices in California 3-Day Notice to Pay Rent or QuitĪ 3-Day Notice to Pay Rent or Quit California Eviction Notice is used to give any tenant notice that they owe rent for a certain period of time and they must either pay the rent due within 3 days or vacate the property within 3 days. The user interface was reworked and Simulink's functionality was expanded. Some especially large changes to the software were made with version 8 in 2012. MATLAB's Parallel Computing Toolbox was released at the 2004 Supercomputing Conference and support for graphics processing units (GPUs) was added to it in 2010. In 2000, MathWorks added a Fortran-based library for linear algebra in MATLAB 6, replacing the software's original LINPACK and EISPACK subroutines that were in C. The first MATLAB compiler was developed by Stephen C. Over time, MATLAB was re-written for early operating systems created by Digital Equipment Corporation, VAX, Sun Microsystems, and for Unix PCs. Many of the toolboxes were developed as a result of Stanford students that used MATLAB in academia, then brought the software with them to the private sector. The software was popularized largely thanks to toolboxes created by experts in various fields for performing specialized mathematical tasks. īy the end of the 1980s, several hundred copies of MATLAB had been sold to universities for student use. John Little and programmer Steve Bangert re-programmed MATLAB in C, created the MATLAB programming language, and developed features for toolboxes. They decided to reprogram MATLAB in C and market it for the IBM desktops that were replacing mainframe computers at the time. Moler would leave copies at universities he visited and the software developed a strong following in the math departments of university campuses. At the time, MATLAB was distributed for free to universities. Early versions of MATLAB were simple matrix calculators with 71 pre-built functions. The software was disclosed to the public for the first time in February 1979 at the Naval Postgraduate School in California. The first early version of MATLAB was completed in the late 1970s. There were no programs, no toolboxes, no graphics. In the beginning (before version 1.0) MATLAB "was not a programming language it was a simple interactive matrix calculator. This was followed by Fortran code for linear equations in 1971. He developed MATLAB's initial linear algebra programming in 1967 with his one-time thesis advisor, George Forsythe. Moler became a math professor at the University of New Mexico and started developing MATLAB for his students as a hobby. The idea for MATLAB was based on his 1960s PhD thesis. A few sections require you to write down number sequences - which can be annoying, because the importance of these numbers isn't necessarily made explicitly clear when you first encounter them, and on one occasion it's possible to get into a position where you have to guess a code's prefix - but for the most part Primordia doesn't irritate in the way so many of these games do. The game drops hints without explicitly telling you what you need to do, and objectives are outlined in ways that mean you're unlikely to forget what you ought to be trying to do next. There's a lot of showing item A to character B, naturally, but quite often the steps in-between are well thought-out, and many of the puzzles tie together well with others, so that jumping between locations will generally reveal clues or items required to solve puzzles in other areas. With a few silly exceptions (at one point you need to shove an oil-soaked rag up a giant robot's nostril, then cut off one of his fingers and shove that up the other), the puzzles are mostly fairly smart, and there's a decent sense of diversity to them. There's nothing wrong with this sort of design if you know what you're doing with it, and Primordia does, for the most part. You collect items, you combine items, you talk to everyone, and you use things in ways that occasionally seem a bit illogical. At all times, it exhibits a reverence for the older philosophies of the adventure games of the 90s. ![]() This isn't the sort of game that hopes to change the genre, or present any sort of grand innovation. Yet this traditional point-and-clicker, set in a world in which man has long since (seemingly) vanished and sentient robots have grown to question the very existence of their presumed creators, manages to rise right up alongside the cream of this year's crop. Their latest, Primordia, has landed at the end of what has been something of a banner year for adventure games. Wadjet Eye Games has quietly established itself as one of, if not the most, exciting independent publishers of adventure games around. ![]() ![]() ![]() It’s a fun cocktail that puts me in mind of Scorched Earth, or maybe a Scorched Earth that let me build a bunker around my tank. “Brisbane-based Earthwork Games has brought out a fort building – and fort destroying – simulator that combines strategy, engineering, aiming, and micromanagement. Multiple Repair Stations can be built at a time, but should be placed with care to maximise their coverage, while also ensuring they don’t put too much of a strain on your economy. Available as a device built directly from the Reactor, the Repair Station repairs damage to surrounding building materials and devices as and when they are damaged in exchange for an ongoing resource cost. In an effort to reduce APM and to add another element of strategy, we have created the Repair Station. The Factory now produces two beam weapons, the classic Plasma Laser and the new Firebeam, great for penetrating fortifications to ignite them from within. The classic Cannon is now found in the new Munitions Plant, where it is joined by it’s little brother, the burst-firing 20mm Cannon. The Armoury unlocks Flak guns to clear the skies of enemy projectiles, and EMP rockets to power down enemy tech, both of which can be upgraded to the Shotgun and twin Rocket launcher, respectively. This major free update adds two tech buildings which allow commanders access to six formidable new weapons. In addition to this, players can create their own training missions and upload them via the Steam Workshop. Featuring an all new environment and SFX, these missions teach AA defense skills, rush building and structural durability. To help skill up new players, we have added a new ‘Training’ tab to the multiplayer screen, under which are three missions to teach rookie commanders some of the techniques they will need to survive in online battles. ![]() Update highlights include… New Multiplayer Training Missions!
